I Can Read Continues to Grow

I Can Read was founded in 2000 by educational psychologists Antony Earnshaw and Annabel Seargeant. Headquartered in Singapore, where there are 25 learning centres spanning 720 square kilometers across the island,  ICR currently operates over 160 learning centres across 14 countries. This makes us the leading English learning hub in South East Asia. And we continue to grow.

Share in our Rich Heritage

Centered in the heart of the Singapore education system, I Can Read is one of the many esteemed schools in the country. Singapore students topped the latest Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) out of the 79 countries involved. And it came out on top of the 60 countries involved in the Progress in International Reading Literacy Study (PIRLS), a global metric for reading proficiency.

Our programmes start with children as young as 2.5 years old. Classes are kept to a maximum of eight students and our range of reading and writing programmes are designed to foster literacy skills. Our teachers address each student's unique learning needs by continually tracking their progress and allowing them to develop at their own pace.

Our programmes are closely aligned to the primary school curriculum of each country where we operate so students get a head start when they join a mainstream school.  All our reading, literacy and language programmes are developed and supported by our Australian-registered educational psychologists and creators of the I Can Read methodology.
