I Can Read offers a complete learning journey for every child. children as young as 2.5 to essential pre-reading and phonics skills. From there, our flagship Champion Readers programme (Levels 1–6) systematically develops fluent, confident, and independent readers.

For EFL learners, I Can Read Discovery combines literacy with listening and speaking to strengthen overall communication.

Finally, students who have mastered reading fluency can advance to our English (Levels 1–6), where they refine their language skills and prepare for academic success.

Reading Foundations

Empower your child phonemically through our 3 Reading Foundations levels. Developed to strategically and progressively target ability-based learning values that will build up your child's basic to advanced levels of phonics appreciation. Your child will enjoy the interactive and engaging activity-centric programmes that will give them confidence and enable them to be empowered to begin reading.

Reading Foundations Levels 1 to 3 & I Can Read Heroes

Our Reading Foundations programme is designed to guide our youngest students of over 2.5 years old towards the early acquisition of English literacy.

Children are given a nurturing and engaging learning environment to develop their early literacy skills.

I Can Read HEROES

I Can Read Heroes is a unique, web-based learning tool designed for students of all Reading Foundations levels. Your child will be able to learn independently at home, any time.

With I Can Read Heroes at home, you can watch your child practice the literacy skills taught in class. They’ll be able to practise phonological awareness skills through fun games and activities.

Champion Readers Levels 1 to 6 & I Can Read Champs

Our Champion Readers programme focuses on developing confident and independent readers. The curriculum is based on our renowned I Can Read System, which teaches and reinforces one new sound at a time in a systematic progression. Students are taught to identify sounds using I Can Read's proprietary diacritical marks.

Each class includes:

Read, review & recap 3 stories based on a diacritic mark association
Spelling review & test
Oral comprehension & story concept review evolving into written comprehension from sound-based stories
Grammar exercises for improved written English ability
Oral communication activities for self-expression and sharing

I Can Read Champs

Champs is an engaging browser-based eLearning platform that sets English as a Foreign Language learners on their path towards literacy. Modules feature vocabulary building and exciting sound-based stories using I Can Read’s diacritical marks.

Let’s Begin: acts as an introduction to the target sound for the story and a guide into how to associate the diacritical mark with a specific sound
Let’s Watch: features a video of the story being read along with animations to engage children
Let’s Read: is a step-by-step reading of the story which highlights words as they’re read to help with pronunciation

Discovery

I Can Read Discovery combines pre-reading and literacy skills with listening and speaking to strengthen overall communication for EFL learners.

Discovery Levels 1 to 6

The Discovery Programme builds a strong foundation in English, guiding children from first words to confident, fluent reading. Through engaging themes and structured progression, students develop the skills not only to read independently but also to communicate effectively.

Discovery 1–3: Students explore expressive and receptive English with exciting themes, vocabulary, and phonics skills that build a strong foundation for reading and communication.
Discovery 4–5: Students strengthen language skills and explore more complex grammatical structures and vocabulary while starting our Reading Programme, moving them from guided decoding to fluent, independent reading.
Discovery 6: Students achieve fluent and confident communication by expressing ideas, opinions, and developing a lifelong love of learning.

English 1 to 6

The English 1 to 6 series empowers students around the world to excel in their English language courses and prepare them for formal examinations through targeted exercises in listening, speaking, reading, writing, vocabulary building and grammar study. With measured learning outcomes and consistent assessment tracking, students using the English 1 to 6 series can easily identify their areas of strength and those requiring further intervention.
