Teach I Can Read Literacy courses:

  • Working with children between the ages of 2.5 to 12 years old.
  • Teaching pre-reading skills to children using the I Can Read System.

Conduct Assessments
  • Teachers will conduct initial assessments for all incoming students.
  • Teachers will regularly assess students during classes to monitor individual progress.

  • Teachers will maintain regular open communication with parents, through informal meetings, formal meetings and scheduled parent teacher meetings.
  • Teachers will keep attendance logs for all classes taught and update Centre Management when a student is ready for promotion.
  • Teachers will attend regular Learning Centre Team meetings.

Contribute to Student Growth and Retention
  • Increasing sign-ups – achieved through maximising the assessment process.
  • Minimising withdrawals – achieved through maximising the teaching process.

  • Degree-level qualifications, preferably in Teaching/Education/Early Childhood/Studies/English/English Literature or Linguistics.
  • Native English speaker with a universally recognisable accent and a strong command of the English Language.
  • At least two years of related teaching experience, or similar.
  • An enthusiasm for teaching young children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work well with co-teachers, and Learning Centre Management.

Purpose of role:
As Customer Service Officer(CSO) you are responsible for the selling of I Can Read Institute courses to prospective students as well as the aftersales care follow up of your current students.
Reporting to the Senior CSO & Group Center Manager, your main aim is to meet the monthly sales projection targets, by booking appointments and signing the correct amount of contracts. The key to this role is balancing your drive to close and produce exceptional sales results with your ability to provide personalised and thoughtful levels of service with accurate information so as to manage each Parent’s & Student’s expectation. You will need to be a master of your own time, as you will be expected to follow up with your prospects and old contacts, book consultations, resolve no-show or cancelled appointments, hold after sales sessions to general renewals and referrals, manage issues and process contracts. Your job will require excellent presentations skills both face to face as well as a confident telephone manner.

Key Accountabilities:
• Meet monthly sales, renewal and referral targets, as set by the Group Center Manager
• Ensure all KPIs are met that concern Sales, Student support and care
• Manage your diary ensuring that all necessary phone calls and appointments are carried out on time
• Provide reports relating to your activity and sales progress to Group Center Manager & Senior CSO
• Attend meetings with Sales and Service team
• Act as a liaison between Student and the Operation Service team
• Updating Parents students’ progress & renew student’s contracts
• Deal with any issues or problems that may arise and ensure these are addressed to student’s & Parent’s satisfaction
• Keeping abreast of all new products or changes related to the courses. Attending any training sessions assigned to you as part of your learning and development

Key tasks:
• Generate leads as per expected KPIs
• Book the correct amount of first appointments so as to ensure correct contracts closure ratio
• Book second appointments
• Follow up on the student’s progress plan
• Book renewal appointments with Parents
• Hold regular reviews with current students assuring they are progressive with their course
• Hold systematic Parent’s meeting, Student review lesson meeting
• Ensuring contracts are processed in a correct and timely manner
• Providing accurate and timely reports to Senior CSO & Group Center Manager
• Compiling data, statistics and making accurate sales forecasts
• Participating in any marketing activities for your centre

Key Challenges:
• Meeting assigned sales targets earlier in month so as to avoid rushed sales before month end
• Juggling a high amount of phone calls as well as face to face meetings
• Analysing each potential client’s needs and quickly adapting to these
• Adapting to seasonality of sales and putting in place strategies to reduce peaks and thoughts in activity
• Managing multiple priorities and activities: meetings, reporting, administration, sales, customer care, phone calls.
• Balancing sales and customer/educational service needs

Working Pattern:

Essential Skills/Requirements:
• Proven Sales Experience, ideally within the sales of educational products or other
• Good level of English
• Understanding of sales principles: Sales Funnel, Forecasts, sales planning

from clients

a) Classroom management and administration tasks:
• Prepare teaching materials.
• Effectively support and encourage students to study English in line with the I Can Read Learning Method.
• Involve in managing and running class room activities.
• Tutor the students in complex vocabulary and grammar.
• Act as a liaison between the native teachers and students or (and) their parents.

b) Sales support:
• Offer exceptional service that results in students and their parents enjoining the centres’ environment and renew the course with I Can Read.
• Actively co-operate with the CSOs in building lasting relationships with our students and their parents.
• Other requested tasks by the centres’ managers, prepare and submit monthly reports: Inventory, Active student, etc.

c) Learning and Development
• Attend Meeting, Workshop and Training as requested
• Complete monthly/ quarterly evaluation process

d) Customer Care:
• Help to ensure a fun and safe environment when students are in the centre.
• Support Events (including incented events and marketing events)
• Support in handling requests and complaints
• Support Teacher in class to archive highly in your role.
