Discovery 1 to 3
In Discovery 1 to 3, students will be introduced to the basics of expressive and receptive English language skills. Through various exciting themes, students will be introduced to a wide array of vocabulary words and language phrases to teach them the structures and flow of the English language. Discovery is accompanied by our foundational literacy programme, which guides young learners through the various skills they will need to learn to become independent readers. By the end of Discovery 3, students will be ready to pursue the challenges of learning to read in English.

Discovery 4 to 5
In Discovery 4 & 5, students will continue to develop their expressive and receptive English language skills through progressively more challenging vocabulary and language structures. At this level, students will begin their learning journey with our award-winning Reading programme. Starting in Discovery 4, students will learn to decode an increasingly broad range of words using I Can Read’s proprietary diacritical marks, Screener, and Code Card. Progressing to Discovery 5, students will learn to read words without diacritical marks to prepare them for reading in the real world

Discovery 6
Our young learners here will be able to confidently and independently participate in conversations on topics that are of personal interest and pertinent to everyday life. They will learn to describe experiences and events in great detail and provide supporting reasons for their personal opinions. In addition to unaided fluent reading, students here will delve into deeper comprehension of stories as well as summarize and narrate works with descriptive reactions.
